All for a good cause as an exercise in sustainability and a fundraiser to support the Akanksha Foundation – a non-profit organization providing education to children living in Indian slums. ACNE Resort 2011

Swedish design firm ACNE has really captured a distinct look with their fluid drapery of jersey combined with special bio-leather from an old artisanal company. There is even an occasional metallic and crystal thrown in to bring in a “spiritual touch” says company founder Jonny Johansson. The silhouette is very menswear inspired and there are western elements from the feathers and the thick whip stitch in the leather. To get a similar ensemble try pairing shorts with a simple button up in neutral colors, topped off with a lightweight duster and wide brimmed hat. We LOVE the Best of Brigitte Bardot CD for summer listening! It’s swanky, it’s sweetness, it’s French, and it’s just a bit of ol’ fashion cool.

We think it’s a perfect bit of fluffy fun for picnic, or BBQ music! We’re especially fond of Bubble Gum and Harley Davidson.
